Penne all'Arrabbiata: ingredients for 4 people
- 320 g penne rigate
- a jar of sauce all'Arrabbiata
- 1 red chili pepper (optional)
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- salt to taste
- Pecorino Romano cheese to taste
Instructions
Boil an abundant amount of water in a non-stick pan. Once the water has come to a boil, add a tablespoon of coarse salt and the pasta. Cook for the time indicated on the package (generally 12 - 13 minutes, depending on the type of pasta).
In the meantime, pour a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil in a non-stick pan and, once heated, add the entire contents of the jar of sauce. If you like particularly spicy flavors, add the chopped red chili pepper to take advantage of its seeds. Heat everything for about 5 minutes.
Once the pasta is ready, drain it and add it to the pan, tossing it a few times. Mix everything well and serve it - even directly in the pan, if you use Primecook's designer products! - providing guests with some grated Pecorino Romano cheese.
